Jessica Swale's feature-film directorial debut Summerland starring Gemma Arterton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw is going to be the first new release in UK cinemas since lockdown began.
Set during World War II Alice [Arterton] is writing a thesis that is disturbed by the arrival of a young evacuee. Despite an original resolve of getting rid of him, Alice warms to him and the two form a close bond as she opens up about life and love.
A new poster and trailer have been shared to accompany the film's July 31st release.
Summerland is in UK Cinemas from July 31st 2020.
